“Free Hoodia” advertisements can be found on many websites throughout the internet. These advertisements are very enticing and promise weight loss through all natural appetite suppression. When looking at these ads and deciding whether to try one of them, there are a few things that the consumer should be aware of before choosing Hoodia as a weight loss method and responding to the “Free Hoodia” ad.
How does Hoodia compare to Ma Huang aka Ephedra?
Hoodia is an all-natural dietary supplement that is generally used to aid in weight loss.
The problem is that people often assume that an all natural supplement has to be safe. This is not true and the people who invested in and used Ma Huang learned this lesson the hard way. Ma Huang is the all-natural type of ephedrine and was used quite commonly in natural weight loss supplements. Ma Huang aided in increasing the bodies metabolism, which, in turn, helped a person to lose weight. This increased metabolism also had some unfortunate side effects. Users of Ma Huang supplements soon found themselves dealing with strokes and heart attacks that proved to be fatal. After this was discovered, Ma Huang was banned from use in any type of dietary weight loss supplement.
